**About the role**
As a **Procurement Analyst** you will be responsible for delivering procurement analytics that will enable the Category Management team to ultimately deliver strategic value to Sydney Water. Reporting to the Portfolio Category Manager, you will be supporting the ODI Program delivery and other Capex Pipeline Projects such as ESM and Developer transformation. This role will contribute to managing over $250M in external commitments.
**Responsibilities**:
- ** Evaluation and Analysis**: Develop and manage RFP evaluation and scoring spreadsheets, aggregate and analyse responses, and create visual aids for pricing decisions. Prepare detailed analyses of current contracts.
- ** Process Improvement**: Oversee procurement process enhancements, including requirements scoping, approach development, process mapping, redesign, and documentation. Manage stakeholder engagement and post-implementation reviews.
- ** Data and Policy Management**: Gather, analyse, and document data to support process improvements and maintain corporation-wide procurement policies and tools.
- ** Category Management and RFX Preparation**: Conduct research and analytics on cost structures, suppliers, and market indicators to inform new procurement strategies. Prepare and analyse commercial requirements and models for vendor selection.
- ** Quality Management**: Support procurement contributions to ISO 9001 certification and risk management.
- ** Sourcing Initiatives**:Assist with sourcing as needed.
**About you**
- Relevant degree (e.g., Procurement, Data Analytics, Business) or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years' experience working in procurement analytics in a large complex organisation, preferably in a similar organisation or industry sector.
- Ability to analyse data, trends, and market conditions to make informed procurement decisions. Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques is essential**.**:
- Familiarity with procurement software, data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, ARIBA, Power BI, SharePoint), and other relevant technology for efficient process management and reporting.
