The Role
Our Tatura site is an icon in the region, well known around the world for its quality dairy products. As well as being the country's largest producer of cream cheese, it also produces infant formula, nutritional lactoferrin, various milk powders, plus our famous single serve butter.
We have a great opportunity for a new trades person to join our team as a Maintenance Electrician The purpose of this role is to act on Electrical maintenance of plant machinery and equipment here at Tatura. You will take on Electrical system issues of greater complexity, while teaching and guiding other team members on lower-level issues.
This role works on shift and will be required to work a mix of day and night shifts 24/7 rotating, family friendly lifestyle roster.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and diagnose highly complex equipment and systems for emergency repairs.
- Provide operational support services.
- Operate complex machines and systems, adjusting processes to optimize quality and productivity. Also responsible for generating solutions to complex inefficiencies.
- Deliver projects while working within an established program management plan.
- Always be a safety champion within everything they do.
About you
- A-Grade electrical licence and Certificate III electrotechnology (trade qualified).
- Previous experience in an industrial electrical role, preferably within the food manufacturing sector, but will consider similar sectors.
- Experience with PLCs and SCADA systems is essential.
- Must have experience with pneumatic, electrical and electronic testing devices to inspect and test instrument and system operation and diagnose faults.
- Highly motivated, creative and proactive with willingness and ability to multi-task.
- Work well within a team environment.
