The Opportunity

MDH Livestock is a family owned, newly established a company seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Administrator to join our team based in Rockingham, WA within the same office space as our related company, MDH Transport. This is a Full-Time role with hours from 8.00am to 4.00pm, where the successful candidate will be responsible for a wide variety of accounting and clerical duties.

As the Accounts Administrator, you will manage a diverse range of office, administrative, and financial support tasks. This role would suit someone who is confident juggling multiple responsibilities, enjoys a mix of structured administration and problem-solving, and takes pride in getting things done efficiently and accurately.

Training will be provided, and you will have the support of an experienced team as you transition into the role.

You will be responsible for:

Accounts payable/receivable

* Processing supplier invoices, purchase orders, and receipts using Xero
* Set up new customers within our Transport Management System and Xero
* Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to ensure accurate billing and payments
* Cost and Code invoices - allocating costs to relevant equipment and location

Administrative Tasks

* General office administration – checking the mail and coordinating deliveries, answering telephones calls, filing, data entry, typing correspondence, printing, maintenance of and ordering office supplies
* Visitor assistance – meet & greet, organise refreshments etc
* Adhoc duties as required

Skills & Experience

* Previous experience within the Livestock or Transport Industry (essential)
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and excellent computer literacy
* Excellent attention to detail
* Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities and workload, and maintain efficient workflow
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Capacity to work both autonomously and as part of a team
* Continuous improvement mindset
