What you'll be doing
As a Level 1/2 Social Worker, you'll provide comprehensive social work services to patients, families and carers, exercising independent judgement while contributing to clinical and service excellence.
* Deliver evidence-based psychosocial assessments and interventions
* Manage routine caseloads independently and seek supervision for complex tasks
* Maintain accurate departmental statistics and documentation
* Support team education through presentations, in-services and knowledge-sharing
* Supervise social work students and participate in quality improvement and research

Essential Criteria
* Degree in Social Work with eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Work (AASW).
Selection Criteria
* Demonstrated clinical experience or understanding of the needs of clients accessing the health care system.
* Demonstrated understanding of issues associated with working with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse client group.
* Demonstrated well-developed time management skills with excellent written and verbal communication, including report writing skills.
* Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Knowledge of quality assurance and / or clinical practice improvement activities.
* Ability to participate in the After Hours Crisis on Call Social Work Service.
