About the role 
We are seeking an experienced Orthotic Technician to join our team at Geelong Orthotics. 
This part-time position is based at our Geelong, Victoria clinic and involves the fabrication, adjustment, and repair of custom orthotic devices. 
The successful applicant will work closely with our clinicians to deliver high-quality outcomes that enhance patient mobility, comfort, and independence. 
This role offers the opportunity to apply technical expertise in a supportive, collaborative environment where precision and craftsmanship are highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate, modify, and adjust orthotic devices to precise specifications
- Select and prepare materials for orthotic construction
- Repair and maintain orthoses as required to ensure ongoing patient use
- Collaborate with Orthotists to ensure optimal device fit, function, and patient outcomes
- Maintain inventory, order supplies, and ensure workshop equipment is properly cared for
- Adhere to all relevant safety, quality, and regulatory standards
Skills and Experience
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving capabilities
- Skilled with hands-on tasks and comfortable working with a variety of materials and tools
- Previous experience as a Prosthetic or Orthotic Technician is advantageous, but not required — candidates with practical skills and a keen willingness to learn are welcome
- Proficient in using hand tools, workshop equipment, and fabrication techniques
- Able to follow technical instructions accurately and maintain high-quality workmanship
- Effective communicator who works well within a collaborative clinical team
