ME Medical Recruitment is currently representing a prestigious opportunity for a Staff Specialist / Senior Staff Specialist Anatomical Pathologist to join a leading hospital on the beautiful Sunshine Coast, Queensland.
This permanent full-time role (part-time considered) offers the chance to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, contributing to high-quality diagnostic services across a state-wide network.
Position Highlights
* Location: Sunshine Coast, Queensland
* Employment Type: Permanent, full-time (flexible hours considered)
* Remuneration: AUD $403,602 – $504,547 + generous allowances (motor vehicle, professional development, retention & attraction)
* Classification: L18–L27
* Closing Date: 26 August 2025
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver timely, efficient, and high-quality Anatomical Pathology diagnostic and consultation services
* Participate in frozen section services, MDTs (onsite and remote), and after-hours on-call roster
* Maintain high professional standards and objectivity in clinical practice
* Support training, teaching, research, and quality assurance initiatives
Essential Criteria
* Fellowship with the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (FRCPA) or equivalent
* Eligible for Specialist Registration with AHPRA
* Demonstrated expertise in Anatomical Pathology and commitment to clinical excellence
* Familiarity with ISO 15189 and NATA Medical Testing Requirements
