Specialist Family Violence Team Leader Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to lead our specialist family violence team. This is a full-time, fixed-term position until January 2027.
The successful candidate will have a minimum Bachelor level qualification in Social Work or a related field, with recent employment in the family violence sector. They will also have experience in a leadership role, including providing supervision to staff.
* Lead a team of highly skilled family violence and child wellbeing workers who provide screening, assessment, triage, and response functions to incoming referrals for women and their children.
* Supervise and support staff from other agencies as required, working collaboratively and holistically internally, with partners and stakeholders, and the community.
The ideal candidate will be able to reflect on and analyse complex situations arising from intake, adapt, support, and manage change, while demonstrating a commitment to professional development and a culture that values and supports it.

You will be an experienced leader in the family violence sector, with a strong background in social work or a related field. You will have a proven track record of success in leading teams and supervising staff, as well as experience in providing training and professional development opportunities.
You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, stakeholders, and the community. You will also have a high level of emotional intelligence, with the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
