St Kilda Festival Trader Activation Lead
Role: St Kilda Festival Trader Activation Lead at City of Port Phillip.
This is a 5-month temporary, full-time position through to 6 March 2026.
Salary: Band 6 $95,799 – 104,420 plus 12% Super.
Location: St Kilda Town Hall or with flexible working arrangements possible.
Overview
We are looking for an experienced event professional to join the St Kilda Festival team to assist with the delivery of the 2026 St Kilda Festival.
This role is responsible for the engagement of itinerant and local traders for activations produced and permitted by the Arts, Festivals and Events team, and for managing their participation to ensure operational compliance of the St Kilda Festival trader engagement.
This includes managing the financial implications of trader outcomes and issuing permits for approved traders.
Responsibilities
Engage local traders, including strategy creation, engagement permitting and licensing.
Oversee on-site vending at the festival, including evaluation of opportunities and procurement of an external provider.
Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Work effectively in a dynamic team environment.
Skills and Experience
Ability to self-manage workloads, communicate clearly, and work effectively in a dynamic team environment.
Demonstrated experience in stakeholder and community engagement.
Excellent communication, problem solving and negotiation skills, both written and oral.
Experience in local government or a similar environment.
Event management experience, including hospitality provision or permitting.
