About the Role

The Logistics Lead - Dispatches is responsible for leading the Dispatches team to provide logistical support services to Radlink Projects and Products and other departments. The role ensures timely delivery of supplies, accurate and efficient production of purchasing and receipting documentation, and close monitoring of supply status to prevent delays. The Logistics Lead assists the Logistics Supervisor by overseeing daily tasks and managing special allocated jobs while providing leadership and mentoring to the Logistics Dispatches Team.

Responsibilities

* Mentor logistics staff and develop constructive and cooperative working relationships
* Lead the team in handling routine logistics support tasks and when executing special or specific tasks allocated by senior staff/management
* Problem-solve logistics challenges and provide workable solutions to senior staff/management
* Perform local and site delivery/pickup duties as required
* Pick goods from the warehouse and pack them for shipping or delivery, ensuring proper labelling and packaging to prevent damage
* Pick, pack and dispatch sales orders or equipment, including booking transport companies
* Sign for goods upon arrival and verify that the correct products have been delivered undamaged
* Restock shelves with products, ensuring proper labelling and stock rotation
* Operate a forklift to load and unload trucks, and store stock in the warehouse
* Assist with inventory management, stock sorting, storing and cataloguing to maintain accuracy
* Use Greentree to obtain stock locations details, quantities, and dispatch information
* Prepare orders for project dispatch, including generating shipping labels, coordinating with transport providers, and arranging for pickup or deliveries
* Improve accuracy between shipment contents and packing lists
* Liaise with and support internal departments regarding warehouse activities
* Maintain the warehouse in a clean, safe, and orderly manner to optimise efficiency
* Undertakes all activities in line with Radlink HSEQ Policy – reports all near misses, incidents according to the procedures, promptly and clearly with all the required detail
* Help maintain a culture which encourages teamwork and collaboration
* Provide written and verbal reports to Radlink management or their delegates as required
* Liaise with clients, vendors and suppliers
* Undertakes a range of administrative work as required

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this position, we are seeking candidates with:

* Minimum 4' years of experience in warehousing and logistics
* Prior team leadership or supervisory experience (desirable)
* Ability to plan and coordinate activities to meet strict timeframes
* Experience in leading, managing and developing staff
* Negotiation and analytical skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision
* Excellent oral and written communication skills, including researching, report writing and correspondence
* Positive attitude towards continuous learning and development
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
* Sound interpersonal skills and ability to effectively liaise with others
