Job responsibilities
Create menus for corporate events
Work directly with corporate clients to finalise orders and handle special requests
Source fresh local ingredients for menus
Prepare food, with support from casual staff, ensuring attention to detail and consistency in presentation and quality
Confirm menu and head counts with clients before events and arrange the delivery of food
Oversee all operational aspects of the kitchen, including maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic working environment
Train and manage casual staff
Oversee casual staff roster
Experience and skills required
Experience in food preparation
A confident, modern, and creative approach to food preparation, with a strong emphasis on quality, presentation, and attention to detail
Ability to maintain a high standard of professionalism in client interactions
Excellent time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure
Ability to adjust menus to accommodate diverse client needs and preferences
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Basic computer skills
Work rights in Australia
Valid driver’s licence and a willingness to drive

Miss MYSA Events (MME) is a program within our youth-serving organisation. All MME profits are returned to our programs for disadvantaged young people. The successful candidate will join a tight-knit group of social workers, psychologists, graphic designers and administration staff who support one another to be the best we can be.
