Job Description:
As a Radiation Oncology Medical Physicist, you will be a key member of our dynamic Medical Physics team based in the Sunshine Coast Region of Queensland.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and provide essential support to radiotherapy practices, ensuring high standards of patient care.
You will work closely with our Regional Medical Physics Manager and Group Director of Medical Physics to provide medical physics support services to Icon radiotherapy practices.
Your responsibilities will include routine physics tasks, equipment quality assurance, patient-specific quality assurance, and treatment planning support.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Eligible for listing on the ACPSEM register of qualified medical physics specialists in Radiation Oncology Medical Physics.
* Ability to perform routine physics tasks including QA, patient-specific QA and treatment planning support (e.g., IMRT/VMAT).
* Proven ability to work independently to a high level of scientific achievement.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills in a multidisciplinary team.
* Experience in managing the implementation of specialty equipment or programs.
* Self-directed work style with excellent problem-solving skills.
* Evidence of contributing to/in-house research and development projects.
