The Role

The Family Domestic Violence Response Team (FDVRT) Men's Case Worker will work in line with the Western Australia Police Force, Department of Communities, Department of Justice and services providing Family and Domestic Violence (FDV) support to engage with men who choose to use violence. The Men's Case Worker will also exchange risk related information where required to manage the safety of women and children.

This role will:

* Establish contact and provide individual interventions including case management to men who choose to use violence
* Engage in an assessment process to refer according to men's behaviour change programs or other suitable interventions
* Engage in individual behaviour change sessions for men who choose to use violence
* Conduct tailored risk assessments and safety plans
* Undertake referrals to relevant support services
* Engage in relevant stakeholder relationships

This role is located in Northam and offered on a fixed term Full-time basis until December 2026, working 76 hours per fortnight.

About You

Ideally, you're someone who has experience working in group facilitation settings coupled with a passion for keeping women and children safe from FDVA. Additional to this you will have:

* Tertiary qualification in the human services field, and or significant experience in the family and domestic violence.
* Ability to develop rapport and provide a high level of risk assessment, safety planning, and individual, case management and informal counselling to clients.
* Skills in liaising at all levels with other service providers and stakeholders.
* Skills in advocacy, negotiation and teamwork.
* Demonstrated high level time management and task management skills, and ability to work under limited direction.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and public speaking skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* An understanding of FDV and duty of care
* Valid Driver's Licence, Current Working with Children Check, Satisfactory Police clearance.
