Nestled in the heart of Hamilton for almost 40 years, Hamilton Child Care Centre is a Child Safe Organisation. We are a not for profit, community based long day care catering for up to 44 children each day. Our beautiful centre is a unique educational space where older and younger children aged 0 to 5 learn and play together as an inclusive community. We are looking to invite a dedicated and experienced Administrative Officer to work part time with our team, up to 35hrs per week.
Responsibilities
The Administrative Officer is responsible for developing and managing systems which support administration of the centre. They provide efficient, accurate, timely and effective administration services.

Essential Administrative and Office Support Knowledge and Skills
* Minimum Cert III Accounts Administration or equivalent knowledge
* Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to establish priorities, manage workload and identify when to reorganise work to reflect changes in priority
* Proficient in the use of XERO, including Payroll, Budgeting, BAS, Super and EOM reporting
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database applications
* Understanding of Commonwealth Government Funding for Child Care and managing CCS application in accordance with required legislation
* Knowledge of the Education and Care National Law and Regulations, Early Years Learning Framework v. 2 and the National Quality Standards
* Knowledge and understanding of Child Protection Legislation and Child Safe Standards
* Knowledge and understanding of Work Health and Safety Legislation and its application
* Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
* Demonstrated ability to perform duties responsibly under limited supervision to ensure the achievement of team goals
* Ability to maintain professional, friendly communication as the first point of call for all external inquiries, as well as families, children, and the staff team
Desirable Knowledge and Skills
* Knowledge of OWNA or similar CCMS software platform
* Experience in financial/community-based accounting and associated funding streams
* Ability to assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of administrative and information forms
* Knowledge of Policy development and review processes
* Ability to exercise due care, skill and judgement and act at all times in accordance with applicable professional ethics, principles, legislation, and standards
* Maintain confidentiality
* First Aid Certificate
* Ability to participate actively in the service Quality Improvement Plan
* Commitment to ongoing professional learning
Personal Attributes and Professional Conduct
* Positive communication and inter-personal skills and the ability to work as part of a team to achieve required outcomes
* Current PRODA registration identification number (or willingness to obtain)
* Clearance by the Commission for Children and Young persons, under the Working with Children check and Police Check
