\"A better choice!\" is a national industry initiative led by Fresh Markets Australia and the Central Markets Association of Australia. The initiative promotes and supports independent fruit and vegetable retailers across Australia and works closely with retailers, wholesalers and industry stakeholders within the fresh produce sector.
Fresh Markets Australia is seeking a Victorian State Program Coordinator to manage and grow engagement across Victoria.
This role acts as the Victorian representative and involves working directly with independent retailers, wholesalers and industry stakeholders. The position combines relationship management, marketing coordination and hands-on engagement with retailers across the state.
The successful candidate will work closely with the national team while maintaining strong connections with retailers and stakeholders operating within the Melbourne Market and the broader Victorian fresh produce sector.
Key responsibilities
* Manage relationships with existing \"A better choice!\" member stores across Victoria
* Conduct regular visits to retail stores to strengthen engagement and support participation in campaigns and initiatives
* Coordinate and deliver promotional campaigns, activations and in-store initiatives
* Support the onboarding of new member stores and respond to enquiries from prospective participants
* Work with the national marketing and communications team to implement campaigns and activities
* Maintain accurate member information within the CRM system and provide reporting on engagement and participation
* Develop and maintain relationships with wholesalers, growers and key stakeholders operating within the Melbourne Market and broader industry
Candidate profile
* Strong relationship building and stakeholder engagement capability
* Confident communicator able to work directly with business owners and industry stakeholders
* Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple activities and competing priorities
* Comfortable working independently while remaining connected with a small national team
* Experience in marketing coordination, account management, retail engagement or a similar stakeholder-facing role
* Ability to operate in a practical, hands-on role that includes both field engagement and administrative responsibilities
* This role includes regular engagement with the Melbourne Market and independent retailers across Victoria.
* Early starts may be required to align with market trading hours. Typical working hours are approximately 6.00 am to 2.00 pm, with flexibility depending on operational requirements.
* A company vehicle is provided for travel associated with the role.
