The Opportunity
An established legal organisation is seeking an experienced IT Support Officer to join its internal technology team in Perth. This role offers a blend of onsite and remote support and will suit someone who understands the operational and time-critical nature of legal environments.
The Role
You will provide Level 1-2 technical support to staff across multiple offices, acting as a trusted point of contact for day-to-day IT assistance. The position requires strong troubleshooting skills, excellent communication, and confidence working with legal-specific systems and users.
This is a hands-on role where responsiveness, accuracy, and professionalism are essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide responsive onsite and remote IT support to legal staff
* Manage and resolve helpdesk requests within agreed timeframes
* Troubleshoot desktop, application, and connectivity issues
* Set up and support laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals
* Support Microsoft 365 and legal document management systems
* Assist with meeting room technology, AV, and video conferencing
* Complete user onboarding and manage system access
* Maintain IT documentation and asset records
* Work closely with internal teams to improve service outcomes
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring proven experience supporting users in a law firm environment and a strong service mindset.
You will have:
* Demonstrated IT support experience within a legal practice (essential)
* Solid knowledge of Windows desktop environments
* Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and legal DMS platforms
* Understanding of VPNs, TCP/IP, and general network connectivity
* Confidence working directly with fee earners and support staff
* Clear communication skills and a calm, solutions-focused approach
