**The Role - Full time, Permanent**
The Client Engagement Officer is the first point of contact for our clients. Provide advice and support to people living with a disability to access the variety of services offered by Baptist Care SA. With a client centred approach, you will work closely with a small team to onboard new clients into our Disability Pathways. This position reports to the Manager, NDIS Operations.
Your duties will involve, but won't be limited to:
- Engage warmly and respectfully with clients, families, and other stakeholders to process enquiries and support people with disability identify how Baptist Care SA can assist them to meet their goals.
- Providing accurate advice about available services and their pricing
- Oversee or conduct assessments, including complex risk assessments, for a range of clients
- Manage own caseload of new/existing NDIS funded clients seeking services from Baptist Care SA through engagement with clients, families, service delivery teams and other stakeholders
- Encourage independence and participation from clients to ensure our services provide genuine opportunities for independence, choice and control
- Providing a person-centred approach to client engagement ensuing all clients are treated with dignity and respect
**About You**
- Experience working with people with disability and/or community services
- Experience in Case Management and/or a client service role
- Demonstrated knowledge of the NDIS business and regulatory environment, including the NDIS Rules, Practice Standards and Code of Conduct.
- The ability to work autonomously, exercise good judgement and prioritise client outcomes.
- Incredible interpersonal skills, prioritising client experience through warm and respectful engagement
- Ability to deal with sensitive issues with empathy and always maintain confidentiality
**Specific employment requirements**
- A valid full South Australia driver's license (C Class)
- A valid NDIS Worker Screening Check
- National Police Clearance
- Evidence of current COVID 19 vaccinations including any booster requirements
- A valid Child-Related Employment Screening via Department of Human Services
- Child Safe Environments Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work outside of normal office hours
- Travel within South Australia
