About the Role
Our client is seeking a URD Design Project Manager to lead a team of designers in delivering Energex subdivision design projects. This role plays a key part in ensuring compliance with Energex standards, promoting cross-team collaboration, and mentoring designers to drive both professional development and high-quality project outcomes.
The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical expertise, leadership capability, and project management skills. This is a critical role in maintaining client satisfaction, ensuring design excellence, and fostering continuous improvement across the design process.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a team of designers, cultivating a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
* Oversee the preparation of Energex works and plans, ensuring all designs comply with current Energex standards and guidelines.
* Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
* Mentor and guide team members to support technical development and career progression.
* Serve as the primary liaison between clients, stakeholders, and the internal design team, ensuring effective communication.
* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and quality of project delivery.
* Collaborate with other departments to resolve design issues and ensure seamless project execution.
Skills & Experience
* Minimum of 1 year of experience in Energex design, with a strong understanding of subdivision requirements.
* Proven ability to read and interpret Energex works plans and related technical documents.
* Experience in project management or team leadership (preferred).
* In-depth knowledge of subdivision design standards and principles.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage client and stakeholder relationships effectively.
* Demonstrated track record of delivering compliant, high-quality designs on time and within budget.
* Proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve issues efficiently.
