About the Role
As a Truck driver at Sunripe, you will play a crucial role in our operations. You will collect bins of fruit from the fields, drive trucks around the farms and packing facilities, and assist forklift operators where necessary.
Responsibilities
* Safely drive and operate heavy trucks to transport goods to assigned destinations.
* Position and manoeuvre vehicles accurately for loading and unloading.
* Loading and unloading field fruit bins (tomatoes, capsicums, zucchini, etc.)
* Keeping up the supply of empty bins for harvesting (checking clear of foreign objects)
* Loading and unloading pad cleanliness, including dust control
* Shifting tomato stakes, end posts, wire, chemicals, and fertilisers from farm to farm.
* Estimate weights to comply with load limitations and ensuring safe distribution of weight
* Ensure the load is properly restrained and securely covered to prevent loss or damage.
* Helping with any other general duties shifting equipment.
* Helping load and unload other Sunripe trucks to ensure fruit transportation efficiency.
* Conducting daily pre‐start checks and reporting any issues.
* Report all damage or incidents to supervisors.
Qualifications
* HC unrestricted Truck Licence or higher.
* At least a relevant Certificate II Driving Operations or equivalent and 1 year of highly relevant work experience OR 2 years of relevant experience without qualification.
* Strong understanding of Australian road laws, vehicle weight limits, and fatigue management.
* Attention to detail with a focus on safety and efficiency.
Skills & Abilities
* Ability to demonstrate proper use of equipment.
* Ability to follow directions and work unsupervised.
* Basic understanding and knowledge of WHS and ability to apply knowledge.
Benefits & Working Conditions
* Full‐time position.
* A salary range between $71,000 to $77,000 per annum plus superannuation.
