About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to join our Outcomes and Evidence team as a Senior Research and Evaluation Advisor. You will play a key role in supporting Victoria Legal Aid (VLA) program teams to conduct and use client-centred research and evaluation to improve our services.
You will work closely with key stakeholders across VLA and provide advice, guidance, and support on client and lived experience centred approaches to research and evaluation. You will also work closely with external consultants, service partners, and research organisations to support learning across VLA and the legal services sector about the outcomes of legal and related services for diverse communities.
About you:
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
4. Demonstrated extensive experience in monitoring, evaluation and/or research for programs and projects in the not-for-profit, government and/or legal sector.
5. Experience using both qualitative and quantitative methods to measure program or service outcomes.
6. Demonstrated ability in building staff capacity in monitoring, evaluation, and/or research, including experience in coaching, facilitation, and training.
7. Demonstrated coordination skills, and experience working collaboratively with internal and external staff and stakeholders to facilitate learning from research and evaluation findings to inform practice.
8. Extensive experience using ethical, practical, and adaptable methods for working with First Nations communities, cultural and language groups across Victoria, and people experiencing complex social and legal issues.
