We are now seeking a passionate and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and take our culinary offerings to the next level.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food preparation, presentation, and service.
- Develop and execute creative, seasonal menus that align with the bar’s identity and customer preferences.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and budgeting to ensure cost control and profitability.
- Roster, train, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
- Collaborate with management to plan and execute special events, promotions, and menu changes.
- Monitor customer feedback and continuously improve the culinary experience.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef, preferably in a bar, gastropub, or similar environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team effectively.
- Creative culinary talent with a passion for developing innovative and delicious dishes.
- Excellent understanding of kitchen operations, including inventory management, food costing, and scheduling.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining quality and consistency.
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
- Formal culinary training or relevant certifications are preferred.
- Bonus for food safety certificate or willingness to obtain.
