About the Role
Designed for top talent seeking a performance-based culture, this role provides the skills and training to become a future leader in agriculture. The successful graduate will join a cohort of ambitious peers, learn from leaders at AgriWest and Nutrien Ag Solutions, and travel to regional locations to understand how our products and services function. Commencement date: 1 February 2027.
Typical Responsibilities
* On‐job training to hone technical skills with support from agronomists in the region
* Provide agronomic and technical support to clients and producers in the region, including product sales both in store and on farm
* Develop solid and long‐term client relationships
* Share technical and market information to improve performance and sustainability of farming enterprises
* Maintain relationships with existing customers while targeting new clients through superior sales and agronomic input
* Run and coordinate field days and farmer meetings
The role focuses on mixed enterprise and dryland cropping, including wheat, barley, oats, canola, winter pulses, pastures and grain sorghum. You will work with a team of 7 branch staff and collaborate with 3 other agronomists across Parkes and Forbes.
About You
* Recent graduate in Agricultural Science or a related field
* Excellent customer service, organisational, administrative and computing skills, with strong written and verbal communication
* Some technical field experience is ideal
* Passion for local farming communities and agribusiness with demonstrated customer service skills
* Tertiary qualification in agricultural science or related field and current driver's licence
* Permanent working rights in Australia
