About the role:
We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Specialist with solid experience in Vitreoretinal and General Ophthalmology Scrub/ Scout to join our clinical team on a full-time basis. Monday to Friday - no weekends, no public holidays, no overnights, no on-call.
Start date and contracted hours negotiable for the right applicant andPart-time or Full-time role negotiable
Duties and responsibilities:
This role will see you working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care needs and deliver exceptional clinical outcomes.
* Lead and drive the nursing team to deliver safe, evidence-based patient care
* assist in the management of team rosters, workloads and delegation of tasks
* supporting the GM/ DON and NUM in quality activities and procurement
* Ensure the theatre complex and equipment are ready for surgery
* Ensure patient safety and communication with surgical team is always a key focus
* Monitor and evaluate patient recovery, addressing any complications
* Deliver education and support to patients for the management of their recovery

About You:
You have a genuine passion for nursing, providing world-class patient care and adding value to Australian healthcare. You will have:
* Solid experience in Vitreoretinal and General Ophthalmology Scrub/ Scout essential
* Tertiary qualifications in Nursing or similar
* Current AHPRA registration
* A passion for education and mentoring
* Advanced clinical and technical skills including problem solving skills
