About the Opportunity
Lead a team of high‐performing chefs at Grill Americano Sydney. Ensure the highest standards of quality, consistency and efficiency of BOH operations. Your leadership will establish the operational foundations for the new opening and set the stage for long‐term success.
Responsibilities
Lead a dedicated chef team, maintain quality and consistency, and drive operational efficiency in the back‐of‐house. Guide the team through the challenges of a new opening and help build a strong foundation for long‐term success.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience as a Senior Sous or Sous Chef in a fast‐paced restaurant environment.
* Knowledge of Asian cuisine (highly regarded).
* Successful track record leading a high‐performing team.
* Understanding of financial budgets, food and labour costs (advantageous).
* Knowledge of kitchen operations, inventory management and food safety standards.
* Ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
* Proactive problem‐solving attitude with commitment to continuous learning.
* Strong organisational skills and ability to remain composed in high‐pressure, fast‐paced service periods.
* Outgoing personality and genuine interest in day‐to‐day operations.
* Qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
* Availability to work a rotating roster including weekends, public holidays, opening and closing shifts.
