Senior associate - debt investment

We are seeking a high-performing Senior Associate to join our Victorian Investment team. This role offers broad exposure across the end-to-end transaction lifecycle and is suited to a commercially astute investment professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.


The Role

Working closely with the Directors, you will play a key role in evaluating, structuring and executing commercial real estate transactions, while managing client relationships and conducting credit assessment and transaction delivery.

You will be responsible for preparing high-quality investment submissions, managing transaction workflows and contributing to informed investment decision-making across a range of commercial real estate opportunities.


Key Responsibilities

* Support the team across the assessment and execution of new investment opportunities
* Build and maintain detailed financial models to support transaction structuring, pricing and investment analysis
* Prepare high-quality Offer Letters, Information Memoranda and internal credit papers
* Coordinate the end-to-end credit and transaction process, ensuring key milestones and conditions precedent are achieved within agreed timeframes
* Liaise with clients, legal advisers, valuers and internal stakeholders throughout the transaction lifecycle
* Assess and clearly articulate key transaction risks, mitigants and investment strengths
* Assist in structuring loan products and responding to new business opportunities
* Maintain and strengthen relationships with clients, investors and key external stakeholders
* Contribute market intelligence, industry insights and process improvement initiatives across the broader investment platform


About You

* 5+ years’ industry experience, of which commercial property or private credit experience is essential
* Demonstrated experience preparing and coordinating investment memoranda and credit papers
* Strong commercial real estate finance and credit analysis capability
* Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and coordinate transactions through to execution
* Strong relationship management and communication skills, with the ability to confidently engage with internal and external stakeholders
* High attention to detail, sound commercial judgement and strong problem-solving capability
* Tertiary qualifications in Property, Commerce, Finance or a related discipline
