**About the Role**
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Space Planning: Design functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces that optimize workflow and support resident care.
- Patient-Centered Design: Create environments that promote healing, comfort, and independence for residents.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure designs meet safety, infection control, and accessibility standards.
- Materials Selection: Choose materials and furnishings that are durable, easy to clean, and meet design aesthetics.
- Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare professionals and project teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
**Skills, Attributes and Experience**:
- Experience: Proven experience in interior design, preferably in healthcare or aged care settings.
- Skills: Proficiency in design software, excellent communication skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Travel: Willingness to travel nationally for project assignments.
