Counsellor / Group Facilitator | Foundations for Change | Caboolture
Employment Term
: Permanent Full-Time (76 hours per fortnight)
Remuneration
: $51 per hour + Super + NFP Salary Packaging

Your Role
As a
Counsellor / Group Facilitator
, you'll be encouraged to grow, develop and feel empowered to make everyday easier for the people we care about. Your key responsibilities will include:
Undertaking intake and assessments, case management, individual face-to-face counselling and group facilitation of behaviour change programmes for clients referred for violence and abuse in intimate relationships.
Co-ordinating with other agencies and services to provide a safe, holistic and integrated service to clients and families.
Preparing written and oral reports.
Advocating for clients, providing referrals and liaising with other agencies when appropriate.
What we look for
Tertiary qualification (minimum Bachelor level) in Social Work, Psychology or Social Science.
Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role.
Sound knowledge of case management and counselling for clients with issues such as family, sexual and child abuse, relationship discord and grief.
Strong clinical skills in domestic violence and trauma, including impact on families and children.
Knowledge of and ability to facilitate groups in line with the Perpetrator Intervention Service Requirements.
Proven ability to work cooperatively within a multidisciplinary team in a complex human services environment.
