The Role
Working closely with site manager, engineers, supervisors and trades teams, this role will assist in day-to-day planning and coordination of work packages across multiple disciplines.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a technical diploma or advanced trade background looking to build on their planning and execution experience in a high-performance industrial environment.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
* Support the development and maintenance of detailed work plans and job packs for brownfield construction and maintenance scopes
* Assist in scheduling activities and aligning with smelter production windows and shutdowns
* Coordinate material availability, labour resources, and subcontractor readiness
* Liaise with site supervisors and engineers to prioritise and adjust work scopes based on operational needs
* Prepare and update progress reports, look-ahead schedules, and productivity tracking
* Assist with the implementation of permit requirements, isolations, and risk controls
* Maintain data accuracy in planning systems and documentation (e.g. SAP, MS Project, Excel)
* Regularly updating project stakeholders on the progress of work packs, addressing any concerns or changes, and facilitating effective communication between different teams
* Addressing unexpected issues that arise during the execution of work packs, making necessary adjustments to keep the work on track
* Monitor overall project progress and achievement of major milestones
* Liaise with other planners within the team and share responsibilities as appropriate to deliver an effective planning service to the client
Qualifications

* Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline) or Advanced Trade Certification
* Background in maintenance, construction, or brownfield project environments
* Strong understanding of the work planning cycle and trade-based execution
* Exposure to aluminium, mining, oil & gas, or heavy industry preferred
* Familiar with reading drawings, scopes of work, and technical documentation
* Excellent coordination, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills
* Working knowledge using MS Project will be an advantage.
* Demonstrated strong commitment to safety.
* Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, both written and oral
