About the role

We are seeking a Payroll Coordinator at our Blackwater Mine, who will play a critical role in supporting the payroll function by processing payroll data, managing payroll-related records, ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance along with being the 'go to' person for employee queries. This role involves hands-on payroll processing in close collaboration with the payroll and HR teams to ensure that all payroll activities are completed accurately and efficiently.

What You'll Do

* Process payroll data accurately and in a timely manner.
* Maintain and update payroll-related records, including employee personal information and roster schedules.
* Assist in the preparation and maintenance of payroll spreadsheets, reports, and databases.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for employee enquiries regarding payroll, leave, and timesheets.
* Provide support to employees in understanding their payslip, deductions, and leave.
* Facilitate the resolution of payroll-related issues by liaising with the wider Payroll Team as required.

What You'll Bring

* Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in a payroll or related administrative role, preferably within the mining or industrial sector.
* Experience in a fast paced environment with exposure to time and attendance systems
* Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
* Willingness and a 'can do' attitude and are proactive
* Strong organizational and communication skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and across departments.
