Job Title: Paralegal Professional
Job Description:
The Department of Justice seeks a skilled Paralegal Professional to support the Principal Legal Officer and team in undertaking paralegal and administrative work.
This is a permanent, full-time vacancy that requires the successful candidate to manage matters that may be complex and/or sensitive in nature.
The selected individual will draft legal documents for review by Legal Officers and provide assistance and advice to clients that is factual and legal by nature.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Ability to support the Principal Legal Officer and team in undertaking paralegal and administrative work
* Experience in managing matters that may be complex and/or sensitive in nature
* Strong drafting skills with ability to prepare legal documents for review by Legal Officers
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to provide assistance and advice to clients that is factual and legal by nature
* Australian citizenship or permanent resident status in Australia
