Responsibilities
Report to the Director of Sales and Operations, playing a vital role within the venue, providing the highest level of service and supporting the team to achieve outstanding performance.
Create and execute an effective Conference Events sales strategy and budget, ensuring priorities are clearly identified and actioned through appropriate communication, delegation, and self-management.
Maintain relationships with existing Conference Events clients and agents via a structured call cycle and drive revenue opportunities through need periods from existing networks.
Source and build new relationships with leisure agents and clients through strategic networking and call cycles, increasing revenue through bar promotional segments.
Manage and create lead generation strategies.
Conduct site inspection, family, and site reconciliation in line with Ovolo brand guidelines.
Source and design different packages and package partners to stimulate demand and drive revenue through direct leisure channels.
Qualifications
Hard-working, team-oriented individual willing to help where needed.
Understanding nuances of event planning, different event types (conferences, meetings, banquets, etc.) and the associated logistics.
Proficiency in sales techniques, lead generation, client relationship management, and marketing strategies to drive event bookings.
Familiarity with the capabilities and limitations of different venues, including event spaces, catering options, and technical equipment.
Ability to manage budgets, track expenses, and negotiate contracts to ensure events are profitable and within budget.
Valid RSA or willing to obtain before starting.
Flexibility in availability, willing to work various shifts including mornings, nights and weekends.
Good communication skills and ability to remain calm and professional within a fast-paced environment.
