About the Company
Inspire Home Pty Ltd is a residential design and construction company specialising in custom homes and renovation projects across Queensland. We are seeking an experienced Architectural Draftsperson to join our growing team.
Responsibility
* Create technical drawings for homes, commercial buildings, and other structures from architects' sketches, incorporating exact measurements and codes, and entering data to generate 3-D design models
Key Duties
* Prepare detailed architectural drawings, plans, and construction documentation using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
* Interpret design briefs and translate concepts into accurate technical drawings.
* Produce working drawings, specifications, and documentation for residential projects.
* Ensure plans comply with the National Construction Code (NCC) and relevant Australian Standards.
* Liaise with builders, engineers, certifiers, and other consultants to coordinate project documentation.
* Revise drawings as required throughout design and construction phases.
* Assist with development applications and building approval documentation.
* Conduct site visits to confirm measurements and project requirements when necessary.
Skills & Experience Required
* Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Architectural Technology, Building Design, or a related field.
* Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience as an Architectural Draftsperson.
* Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
* Sound knowledge of Australian residential construction practices and regulations.
* High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
