Role Overview
We are seeking a reliable, proactive, and detail-oriented Housekeeper / Household Assistant to support the day-to-day running of a busy family home on the Gold Coast.
This is a hands-on role focused primarily on cleaning and maintaining the home, with additional responsibility for helping the household stay organised including meal preparation and ensuring the children are set up for the following day.
Key Responsibilities
Cleaning & Housekeeping (Primary Focus)
* Daily cleaning of kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, and living areas (rotating areas throughout the week)
* Vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and maintaining overall presentation of the home
* Laundry, ironing, and wardrobe organisation
* Weekly and monthly deep cleaning tasks
* Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
Household Organisation
* Follow and manage structured daily, weekly, and monthly task schedules
* Keep household supplies stocked and organised
* Ensure the home remains tidy, organised, and running efficiently
Meal Preparation & Family Support
* Prepare dinner for the family (ready to heat or requiring minimal final preparation)
* Prepare children’s lunches for the following school day
* Ensure school clothing/uniforms are clean, organised, and ready
* Assist with keeping kitchen and food prep areas organised
General Household Support
* Manage rubbish and recycling
* Receive and organise deliveries
* Run occasional errands if required
Light Coordination
* Flag maintenance or repair issues to the family
* Liaise with trades or service providers if needed
Key Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in private housekeeping or similar role
* Strong attention to detail and high cleaning standards
* Ability to work efficiently and manage time within a 4-hour daily schedule
* Comfortable with basic meal preparation
* Highly organised and proactive
* Trustworthy, discreet, and respectful of a family environment
Requirements
* Valid driver’s licence preferred
* Police check (or willingness to obtain)
* Physically capable of performing cleaning duties

Remuneration
