Overview
As a Full Time Cook, you will prepare and cook a variety of Thai dishes, ensuring authenticity, high quality, and consistency in taste and presentation.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook Thai dishes, ensuring authenticity, high quality, and consistency in taste and presentation.
Follow traditional Thai recipes and culinary guidelines to maintain restaurant standards.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan and execute menu items efficiently during busy service periods.
Assist with the development of new Thai menu items and specials.
Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures are followed.
Monitor and maintain inventory levels of Thai ingredients and supplies.
Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised work area.
Assist in training and mentoring new kitchen staff on Thai cooking methods.
Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a positive and professional work environment.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Cook, preferably in Thai cuisine, in a high-volume restaurant setting.
Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.
Strong knowledge of Thai cooking techniques, flavours, and presentation.
Familiarity with Thai cooking methods and equipment.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and multitask while maintaining authenticity.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
Flexible hours available.
1 year of relevant work experience required.
Salary
The salary for this position ranges from $60,000 to $77,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
