What You'll Be Doing
Provide clinical training at a ward/unit level: formulate and deliver in‑service educational programs; assess and demonstrate clinical procedures. Foster a preceptor/mentor role to support less experienced staff, enhancing clinical skills and delivering people‑focused quality care.
Selection Criteria
* Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
* Relevant post‑registration clinical or education qualifications and/or current Certificate as a Workplace Trainer and Assessor, or willingness to work toward certification.
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in the relevant clinical/specialty field with demonstrated knowledge of competency/skills requirements for quality clinical care.
* Demonstrated experience as a preceptor/mentor/coacher using contemporary education and teaching methods to develop and motivate staff toward a learning culture.
* Demonstrated ability to develop, deliver and evaluate education and learning activities to meet individual learning needs, applying adult learning principles and best practice models.
* Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication, advanced computer skills and use of software programs to develop and deliver education.
* Evidence of participation in own professional development and a commitment to maintaining competence and enhancing skills for a workplace trainer and assessor.
* Current unrestricted driver's licence and willingness to drive/travel as required, possibly long distances.
