Operations Manager / Production Manager - Manufacturing
An established manufacturer is entering its next phase of growth and is seeking a capable Operations & Production Leader to take ownership of day-to-day manufacturing performance. This role will strengthen operational capability, improve efficiency, and support continued expansion.
Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will play a key role in coordinating people, processes, and production outcomes across manufacturing, warehousing, and other key functions. This position suits a practical leader who enjoys being on the floor, driving results and continuously improving how things are done.
This is a permanent, full-time position offering consistent weekday hours (early finish afternoons) and a balanced approach to overtime.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate manufacturing and warehouse operations
* Allocate resources effectively to meet production deadlines and quality standards
* Monitor output, efficiency, and workflow performance
* Work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure smooth operations
* Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements to systems, processes, and materials
* Champion safety standards and ensure compliance across all operations
* Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience leading operations or production teams in a manufacturing environment
* Strong organisational and planning capability
* Confidence using production, inventory, and reporting systems
* Exposure to lean or continuous improvement methodologies
* Mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills
* A proactive, hands‐on leadership style
* Forklift licence advantageous but not essential
