Ewert Leaf invites an accomplished Senior Interior Designer to join our studio, as an integral design leader in our team. The opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Interior Designer who has a strong passion for design and is looking to further develop their skills in leading projects. This role offers the opportunity to contribute and work collaboratively with the team across a diverse range of projects, with a focus on the multi-residential and commercial sectors.
With strong design sensibility and extensive experience leading projects through all phases - from concept to documentation and delivery, you’ll contribute to a diverse portfolio of design-driven projects across varied scales. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary studio at the forefront of the built environment.
Key responsibilities
As an experienced Senior Interior Designer, you possess strong design and presentation ability with a balance of creative and technical skills. You are curious and consider the big picture yet are also resourceful and have an in-depth understanding of the details involved in the delivery of a project.
As a motivated professional, you will confidently and effectively communicate and create with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders. Above all, you will seize the opportunity to lead interior projects through all stages, engage in our collaborative studio, and drive unique and compelling outcomes.
You thrive in a fast-paced environment and bring flexibility to lead projects through all phases - from Sketch Design and Design Development to Construction Documentation and on-site services. You also take pride in mentoring junior designers, fostering a collaborative culture grounded in shared knowledge and creative exchange.
Skills & experience
•Degree in Interior Design
•6+ years extensive local experience in multi-residential and commercial projects is essential
•Expertise in hospitality and retail sectors is advantageous
•Outstanding design and presentation skills which can be translated through Sketch Design, Design Development and Construction Documentation packages
•Excellent technical, construction and regulatory knowledge
•Highly proficient in preparation of Interior Design documentation and on-site delivery
•Advanced REVIT and Adobe Creative Suite capabilities
•Proficiency in AutoCAD and Sketchup is also advantageous

•Excellent communication skills with a collaborative approach
•Strong organisational and time management skills
•A keen eye for details and solutions focused
•Exceptional ability to engage and build relationships with clients and stakeholders across all levels
•Confidently contribute to and lead multiple projects, including managing a project team, client deliverables, brief, budget and timelines
•Proven experience managing consultant teams and technical coordination
•Ability to mentor junior team members and foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing
