Cochlear is seeking an experienced Data Governance Technical Lead to manage and maintain our Informatica IDMC (Intelligent Data Management Cloud) ecosystem the areas of Data Governance and Catalog, Data Quality, Data Profiling, Data Validation, Metadata Command Centre and Application Integration ensuring optimal platform performance, security, and reliability. This role is integral to supporting data governance and data quality initiatives, enabling the organization to deliver accurate, consistent, and trusted data for decision-making and to build the skill level of Data Sub-Domain Owners and Data Stewards across the business in their use of Informatica for Data Governance and Data Quality activities.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Analytics, Data and AI, IT, Security and Privacy teams and Data SMEs to implement and manage solutions that enhance data management capabilities across Cochlear.
Informatica Platform Administration
* Manage and maintain Informatica tools (Governance, Catalog, Quality, etc.)
* Perform upgrades, patches, tuning, and issue resolution
* Oversee delivery lifecycle and change management
* Monitor platform health and manage user access/security
Data Governance & Quality
* Align platform with governance frameworks and standards
* Ensure accurate metadata ingestion and data lineage
* Deploy and optimize data quality rules and KPIs
* Support troubleshooting and issue resolution
Collaboration & Enablement
* Act as technical lead for Informatica-related queries
* Train and support data stakeholders
* Align platform capabilities with business needs
Documentation & Reporting
* Maintain platform documentation
* Generate performance and usage reports
* Support audits and compliance efforts
Required Skills
* Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
* 5+ years of Informatica platform administration
* Strong knowledge of data governance, quality, and metadata management
* Experience with Informatica installation, upgrades, and configuration
* Proficient in SQL, relational databases, and ETL processes
* Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
* English – Fluent (written and verbal)
Desired Skills
* Experience in healthcare or medical devices
* Understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)
* Informatica certification
* Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
