**The Opportunity**

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Corporate Services, you will partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the College's HR strategy and Operational Plans, particularly as them relate to the current and future talent needs.

Lead and oversee the routine functions of the HR team to ensure adequate and timely service delivery to Stanley College managers and employees.

**The Main Responsibilities**:

- Oversee the support and advice provided on diverse HR activities and practices on the entire employee lifecycle and related issues to academic and non-academic staff.
- Provide coaching and advise to managers and leaders on performance, conflict and grievances, employees development and more to ensure the workforce remains productive, safe and engaged.
- Develop, review and maintain a range of HR operating standards, policies and processes including organisation charts, reports and other documentation, and ensure comprehensive records are kept.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; including the review of policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Review, develop and deploy a range of new HR initiatives across the College (employment contracts review, new practices and processes implementation, employee development, organizational culture, etc.).
- Organise and contribute to a range of organisation wide meetings, forums and events relevant to human resources.
- Create learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
- Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations, as well a provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Develop regular reports including employees' turnover, recruitment metrics, workforce planning, survey results, and other ad-hoc reports as required, and present some of them to the Board and Executive Management Team meetings when necessary.
- Control and approve fortnightly payroll for the College and resolve payroll issues in collaboration with the Finance Department.
- Work collaboratively with the RPA (Robotic Processed Automation) team to automate some HR processes.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and current technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Oversee the daily workflow of the HR department and ensure it delivers timely and accurate information and service to Stanley College's employees and managers.
- Manage conflicting priorities and workload of the HR department employees
- Support and coach the HR team when needed (more complex issues or concerns to resolve) to ensure their experience broadened and their HR skills improve.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or higher qualification.
- At least 7 years' experience as a generalist in HRM in Australia.
- Proven at least 3 years' working as a HR Manager, managing a HR team, in a hands-on role.
- Experience dealing with a broad range of HR issues across a complex IR environment.
- Demonstrated experience in the design, review, development, and implementation of a range of HR initiatives/projects (people management and development, workplace relations, coaching, etc.).
- Demonstrated time management in dealing with conflicting priorities and leadership abilities to manage the HR team workload.
- Ability to coach and develop leaders on people management skills using best practice frameworks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present reports at Board and Executive Management Team meetings.
- Developed ability to liaise, influence, resolve conflict and negotiate with a range of stakeholders within a diverse workforce.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
