The Role
A career in community housing is extremely rewarding and offers the opportunity to contribute to a positive social impact and a world without housing poverty. In this role, you will deliver high-quality tenancy and property management for Community Housing Limited. Your responsibilities include:
Property inspections.
Allocation of vacant properties.
Rental collection and chasing arrears.
Conducting condition reports.
Coordinating lease and rent reviews.
Carrying out exit procedures.
Representing CHL at hearings when required.
Performing administrative tasks such as reporting, addressing complaints, adhering to compliance requirements, and maintaining accurate property and tenancy data in all required systems.
About You
You will have a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable people in our community.
Essential Criteria
Demonstrated experience in providing client-focused tenancy management services.
Solid understanding of the Residential Tenancies Act.
Relevant skills and experience working sensitively with diverse customers with complex needs, including those in a housing crisis.
Confidence in liaising with stakeholders, including vulnerable people.
Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and a caring and empathetic nature.
Previous experience with MS Office programs.
Ability to compose professional correspondence via email to internal and external stakeholders.
A current driver's licence.
Desirable
Previous experience working in the social/community housing industry.
Note that a satisfactory police check is required for all staff, and those with client-related responsibilities must provide a NDIS and Working with Children Check (WWCC).
