Location: Adelaide – SA, Brisbane - QLD, Canberra - ACTTHE ROLE:Austrade is looking for an experienced Team Leader to lead our Recruitment Team.You will lead a small, high performing team responsible for delivering high quality client services, supporting managers to deliver best practice recruitment processes, and identifying process improvements for the benefit of the agency. You will be expected to apply contemporary approaches to recruitment design and drive better practices.Reporting to the Manager, Recruitment and Pay Services, you will be responsible for the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle while shaping the future of recruitment, through policy and process reform. You and your team will partner with managers to design and deliver quality recruitment processes, maintain a suite of documentation which supports good recruitment practice across the agency, and provide a level of administrative support where needed.To be successful, you will be solution focused with excellent attention to detail and have the ability to manage key stakeholders across various levels of seniority.DUTIES INCLUDE:• Assist with facilitating the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle including global talent attraction, recruitment, onboarding process improvement and simplification.• Review and maintain recruitment policy, processes and supporting materials in line with Australian Public Service (APS) rules and guidelines.• Guide hiring managers through recruitment processes including providing advice and support and the delivery of training.• Produce recruitment reports and analytics as well as refining and developing metrics to assist in informing recruitment management business decisions.• Participate on interview panels when required and develop and review interview panel training resources.• Review, evaluate and classify job descriptions through benchmarking using APS Work Level Standards.• Foster a collaborative team environment and assist the team with establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with key stakeholders including hiring managers, candidates, referees, external agencies, key corporate areas and other teams within People Branch.• Develop and oversee recruitment for Austrade’s entry-level recruitment programs.Given our commitment to diversity and inclusion, Austrade actively encourages applications from people with disabilities, LGBTQIA+ people, women, and people with diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds for all of our roles.CLOSING DATE:Applications close at 11:30pm, Wednesday, 28 May 2025 (AEST)ELIGIBILITY:• Australian citizenship – our successful candidate must be an Australian citizen.• Security clearance – our successful candidate is required to hold, or have the ability to obtain, and maintain a Baseline security clearance.For more detailed information please view the Information Pack.Start your application by clicking the "begin" button.In the spirit of reconciliation we acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
