Assistant Branch Manager - Cook's Plumbing Supplies
Established in ****, Cook's Plumbing Supplies is a successful family run business and a leader in the industry. Cook's consists of thirteen trade stores, a Home Builders Division, Commercial Projects Division and four retail Showrooms across NSW and QLD.
We are looking for a hard-working and driven Assistant Branch Manager to join our East Brisbane team.
This role will see you reporting directly to the Branch Manager, whilst also taking direction from the Operations Manager and other senior members of staff.
You will provide effective leadership to the team - in support of the Branch Manager - ensuring the branch is operating at optimum capacity, and delivering profitable results within a safe and efficient environment.
Responsibilities
To be the conduit from the Store Manager to other internal sales staff/counter staff, yards people and drivers
Ensure the roles of each of the above are carried out as per company procedures.
Check product going out for delivery is packed and checked for accuracy
Be involved in stock ordering and stock accountability
Mentor staff in the store; sharing knowledge where applicable
Involve the Manager with any issues that need to be addressed.
Sales growth activity including quotes, following leads and strategy discussions with Branch Manager and Account Manager
Ideal Candidate Attributes
Previous experience in plumbing and/or HVAC industries is highly regarded, but not essential
Willingness to take on unassigned tasks to ensure customer satisfaction
Commitment to ensuring customer satisfaction
Good communication and excellent time management skills
Aptitude for teamwork with a willingness to learn
