Formed in 2018 the Kinrise portfolio covers Biscuits, Breakfast, Baking, Bakery, and Snackfood categories and has 40+ years making iconic Australian food, with a rich Australian heritage that's grounded in family origins.

As the Head of Category – Baking, you will define and execute the category strategy, leveraging deep consumer, shopper and market insights to shape portfolio direction, innovation pipelines and commercial outcomes.

You'll work closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain, while partnering with key customers to position Kinrise as a trusted category leader.

Category Strategy & Growth

* Lead the end-to-end category strategy and vision across the Baking portfolio
* Identify growth opportunities across channels, segments and emerging trends
* Drive portfolio optimisation, including SKU rationalisation and innovation prioritisation
* Establish Kinrise as a category leader with key retail customers

Commercial Performance

* Own category financial performance across Net Sales, Gross Contribution and EBITDA
* Lead input into Annual Operating Plans (AOP) and long-range planning
* Oversee pricing architecture, promotional strategy and trade investment optimisation
* Drive planogram strategy and in-store execution excellence

Customer & Channel Leadership

* Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key customers
* Lead Joint Business Planning (JBP) and category engagement initiatives
* Partner with Sales on range reviews and customer strategy
* Shape channel strategies across Grocery, Independents and emerging channels

Cross-Functional Leadership

* Act as the central connector across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain and Insights
* Lead cross-functional forums to drive performance and identify opportunities
* Provide strategic input into innovation pipelines and NPD

Leadership & Capability

* Lead, coach and develop a high-performing Category team
* Build capability in commercial acumen, category thinking and strategic execution
* Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement

About You

* You are a strategic and commercially astute leader with a strong track record in FMCG category or commercial roles.
* 8–12+ years' experience in Category, Revenue Management or Commercial roles
* Proven leadership experience managing and developing high-performing teams
* Strong experience across Grocery and Independent channels
* Demonstrated success in driving category strategy and delivering commercial results
* Advanced analytical capability with experience using data (e.g. Nielsen, IRI) to inform decisions
* Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills at a senior level
* Degree in Commerce, Business, Marketing or related field
