Join our dedicated team as a Senior Clinical Nurse Consultant, Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, or Social Worker in the pivotal role of Ed-LinQ Coordinator. Based at Bundaberg Hospital, you will lead collaborative efforts to improve access, coordination, and outcomes for young people experiencing mental health challenges across the Wide Bay region. This is a unique opportunity to influence child and youth mental health services through innovative practice, education, and strong community partnerships. If you have expertise in child and youth mental health, leadership skills, and a commitment to multidisciplinary collaboration, we want to hear from you
Your Opportunity:
* The Ed-LinQ program operates at the state and Hospital and Health Service (HHS) levels to enhance the early detection and collaborative care of school-aged children and young people experiencing mental health problems. It does so by addressing three key focus areas: provision of school-based consultation-liaison, enhancing capacity and fostering strategic partnerships. The program will be articulated in the Ed-LinQ model of service and underpinned by a state wide evaluation and reporting framework.
* The HHS is responsible for ensuring alignment of its Ed-LinQ program with the state program, and implementing the Ed-LinQ model to meet the needs of its local community through joint planning and delivery. This includes embedding the functions of the Ed-LinQ program into Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) as a whole-of-service response to the early detection and collaborative care of school-aged children and young people with emerging or existing mental health problems. The Ed-LinQ Coordinator acts an important change agent in facilitating HHS implementation of the program.
