We are looking for a highly capable Control Systems Engineer to support the technical delivery of industrial automation projects. This role involves working across the full project lifecycle, including design, development, installation, commissioning, and ongoing support of control systems.
You will work closely with project managers, senior engineers, and clients to deliver high-quality, reliable automation solutions across industries such as FMCG, process industries, BMS, and energy systems.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Delivery & Engineering
* Deliver control systems projects including design (hardware & software), development, commissioning, verification & validation
* Develop and program PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems using vendor-agnostic platforms
* Work on the power and control panel installation and commissioning
* Interpret control system requirements and translate them into functional designs and engineering solutions
* Develop engineering documentation, including FDS (Functional Design Specification), IO Summary, Interface Data Tables (IDT), cable, and termination schedules
* Support electrical design activities and engineering drawings using AutoCAD
* Perform Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
* Execute on-site commissioning, ensuring quality, reliability, and performance of systems
* Conduct system verification and validation activities
* Troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
* Act as a technical representative during client interactions, RFIs, and technical clarification meetings
* Collaborate with customers to understand requirements and deliver cost-effective solutions
* Participate in site visits, audits, and technical discussions
* Support sales and business development teams with technical inputs for proposals and tenders
Support & Maintenance
* Provide on-call support and maintenance services to SLA customers
* Perform system updates, upgrades, and optimization of deployed solutions
* Support continuous improvement and process optimization of existing systems
* Work closely with project teams, engineers, and service delivery teams
* Contribute to developing engineering solutions aligned with customer requirements
* Maintain awareness of project budgets, timelines, and resource utilization
Required Skills & Experience:
* Degree/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Automation Engineering (or relevant trade background)
* Strong experience in industrial automation and control systems engineering
* Hands-on experience in PLC, RTU, HMI, SCADA, and network systems design and development
* Experience in SCADA/HMI platforms (Ignition, Wonderware, WinCC, FactoryTalk, etc.)
* Strong understanding of control system architecture and industrial communication systems
* Experience in electrical design and requirement interpretation
* Proficiency in AutoCAD for engineering drawings
* Experience in creating detailed documentation, including FDS, IO Lists, IDT, and cable schedules
* Experience in installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of automation systems
Preferred Industry Experience:
* Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG)
* Building Management Systems (BMS)
