About the Role
This role is centered around leading the development of talented young footballers and other coaches in a high-performance environment. The primary responsibility involves setting and maintaining a positive, safe, and supportive culture for development and progression.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.
* Focus on individual player development through Player Development Plans.
* Provide an integrated program between boys and girls, with regular cross-pollination and knowledge sharing.
* Facilitate regular player feedback, vision edits, and game analysis using relevant platforms.
* Identify and develop athletes from diverse backgrounds by creating a culturally safe environment.
* Lead coaching development in the region, focusing on community and school coaches.
* Design and implement innovative coaching methods to enhance player development.
* Work with wellbeing coordinators to support players' welfare and wellness management.
* Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* A minimum Level 2 AFL Coaching Accreditation or ability to obtain.
* Experience working with young people.
* Demonstrated personal initiative and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Well-developed communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
* Excellent IT skills for vision and presentation of coaching strategies.
* Operational knowledge of relevant software and performance analysis tools.
