Play a pivotal role in shaping the commercial outcomes of large-scale renewable energy projects form greenfield through to FID and construction. As the Senior Commercial Manager, you will structure, negotiate, and execute complex EPC, offtake, connection and financing agreements. This is an opportunity for an experienced leader to combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery in a fast-evolving, impact-driven sector.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute commercial strategies across wind, solar, and battery storage projects from early-stage development through to financial close and into construction
* Structure, negotiate, and finalise Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and other offtake arrangements
* Lead commercial review and negotiation of EPC and operations contracts
* Support financial close activities, including project valuation, financial modelling, and lender coordination
* Assess new business opportunities in emerging technologies such as battery storage and hydrogen
* Maintain strong relationships with partners, investors, and customers, ensuring alignment throughout the project lifecycle
* Provide commercial input into feasibility assessments, due diligence, and investment decisions
Qualifications
* 10-15 years' experience in commercial or project finance roles within renewable energy or large infrastructure sectors
* Deep understanding of project structures, revenue contracting, and financial modelling
* Demonstrated success in negotiating PPAs or other long-term offtake agreements on the NEM
* Background in finance, investment banking, law or engineering preferred, with proven ability to assess project risk and value
* Experience with BESS development, financing and offtake is highly regarded
* Excellent communicator with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders and lead internal teams
