Overview
Senior Structural Engineer - Buildings, Canberra at GHD. Location: Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia.
Responsibilities
* Structural design of buildings, including inspections, assessments and reporting.
* Collaborate with architects, project managers, building services and civil engineers in multidisciplinary teams delivering iconic projects.
* Project management and leading teams to ensure successful project delivery.
* Work on projects from conception through final design and construction surveillance.
* Ongoing career development opportunities in a vibrant and collaborative workplace culture.
What you will bring
* A relevant university degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering.
* 8-12 years’ industry experience as a Structural Engineer, with depth of experience in building design projects in a consulting environment.
* Experience across various types of buildings and materials.
* Membership of Engineers Australia and working towards CPEng and NER registration is desirable.
* Comprehensive knowledge of Australian Building Codes and Standards.
* Ability and willingness to mentor junior engineers.
