What You'll Do
* Report to the Branch Manager and manage sales, inventory, and performance of agricultural merchandise.
* Work closely with store management, agronomists and the sales team, providing merchandise support such as stock takes, retail operation improvements, on‐farm meetings, technical information and mentoring staff to encourage improved performance.
* Have input to branch budgets and manage the branch P&L.
* Negotiate with suppliers and develop pricing strategies, oversee stock levels.
* Conduct marketing initiatives to maintain the business's competitive position for all lines.
* Monitor and analyse market trends, climatic and seasonal considerations.
What You'll Bring
* Strong technical background with experience in a similar role.
* Experience with pricing and margin management and sales target achievement through effective category management.
* Ability to network and identify opportunities for business development.
* Strong interpersonal skills to foster solid long‐term relationships.
* Can‐do attitude and a desire to continuously improve your skill set.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Exposure to SAP ERP and strong MS Excel skills for reporting.
* Current drivers licence (essential).
* Forklift and heavy rigid licence (desirable).
