Job Title: Perioperative Nurse Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Perioperative Nurse Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse to contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care in our Operating Theatre.
About the Role:
As a Perioperative Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering evidence-based nursing care, ensuring patient and staff safety, supervising and guiding nursing team members, and providing education and support to patients. You will also be involved in the development and implementation of new clinical practices and policies within the department.
* Deliver high-quality patient care, prioritizing individual needs and requirements
* Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care transitions
* Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and reduce complications
* Provide education and training to nursing staff on new procedures and technologies
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care and treatment plans
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A Post Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing (or working towards)
* Current Registration with AHPRA
* Working with children's check
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Sound clinical decision making and problem-solving skills
