Founded in 1980, Christian College Geelong is a K-12 school where academic achievement is balanced with care and concern for each student's character development and wellbeing, grounded in the Christian faith. THE ROLE
Part Time 0.60 | Fixed Term - Immediate Start to 11 December 2025 Christian College Geelong- Senior School is looking for a Year 10 & Year 11 English Teacher to commence in Term 3 (immediate start). Part Time with potential for CRT work on non-rostered days.
The successful candidate will inspire and engage students in the study of English, fostering critical thinking and effective communication skills. Responsibilities include:
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet curriculum standards.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Encourage students to develop critical thinking and analytical skills through the study of literature and writing.
Assess and evaluate student performance, providing constructive feedback.
Collaborating with colleagues and parents to support the holistic development of students, while integrating Christian principles.
WHAT YOU BRING
Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field
Teaching certification and registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
Demonstrated experience in teaching English at a secondary level.
Strong understanding of the principles of Christian education and a commitment to integrating faith into teaching practices.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a faith-based school community.
